Rostelecom CEO: Russian IT firms can replace SAP with govt help
MOSCOW, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russian IT companies with the government’s assistance will be able to substitute products of German corporate software maker SAP, state-controlled telecom and digital company Rostelecom President Mikhail Oseyevsky said on Tuesday.
“Now we have an understanding that with support of the government…cross-cutting projects in IT will be also launched and we will cope with the global challenges, for example, substitution of SAP,” Oseyevsky said at a meeting.
SAP said in early March that it paused its business in Russia following Western sanctions, along with all sales of services and products in the country. The company continues to support its current clients.
